Starting method of single-phase induction motor

Capacitor start-up type: The connection method is that the starting winding is connected in series with the capacitor and centrifugal switch and then in parallel with the running winding. When the size of the capacitor is selected appropriately, the current in the starting winding can run ahead of the current in the winding by 900 phase angles. When the number of turns of the starting winding is appropriate, it and together with the running winding can form a near-circular rotating magnetic field in the air gap and generate a large starting torque.
