When the industrial motor overheats or even smokes
1. Cause of failure
(1) The power supply voltage is too high, which greatly increases the heat of the core;
(2) The power supply voltage is too low, the 3 phase industrial motor runs with rated load, and the current is too old to generate heat from the winding;
(3) When repairing and removing the winding, the hot disassembly method is used improperly, and the iron core is burned;
(4) Stator and rotor iron core rubbing;
(5) The industrial motor is overloaded or started frequently;
(6) Cage rotor break;
(7) The industrial motor is out of phase and runs in two phases;
(8) The winding impregnation is not sufficient after rewinding;
(9) The ambient temperature is high, the surface of the motor is dirty, or the ventilation channel is blocked;
(10) Motor fan failure, poor ventilation; Stator winding faults (phase-to-turn, turn-to-turn short circuit; The stator winding is incorrectly connected internally).
2. Trouble shooting
(1) Reduce the power supply voltage (such as adjusting the power supply transformer tap), if the motor Y and Δ connection method is wrong, the connection method should be corrected;
(2) Increase the power supply voltage or replace the thick power supply wire;
(3) Overhaul the iron core and eliminate the fault;
(4) Eliminate the rubbing point (adjust the air gap or setback, car rotor);
(5) Load shedding; Control the start according to the prescribed number of times;
(6) Check and eliminate rotor winding failure;
(7) Resume three-phase operation;
(8) Adopt secondary dipping and vacuum dipping process;
(9) Clean the industrial motor, improve the ambient temperature, and adopt cooling measures;
(10) Check and repair the fan, replace it if necessary; Overhaul the stator windings to eliminate faults.
